Today we will be looking at NZXT’s Avatar gaming mouse. We have already covered some of their case chassis and power supply lines in previous reviews. The Avatar is an ambidextrous mouse and for those not familiar with the term it is designed for both left and right handed users. Many features to cover on this one so let’s take a look at the specifications and packaging then move on for a closer look.

As mentioned the Avatar’s symmetrical design provides comfort and functionality for both right and left handed users. A few key features to note before viewing the manufacturers specifications are the hardware adjustable DPI settings, 7 programmable buttons, the small form factor and extruded low friction Teflon mouse feet.

Packaging
The Avatar comes packaged in a dark cardboard box showing specifications and pictures of the mouse. Let’s quickly take a look at this then move onto the contents of this package.
Opening the Velcro fastened front flap we can view the mouse itself through a plastic windowed opening. On the inner flap is a detailed diagram showing the button locations and descriptions.
Removing the contents of the package we find the user’s manual located in the front flap as well as the mouse itself in the other compartment. This is all the package contains as the user’s manual actually contains a 3.5 inch installation CD as shown below.
