Silverstone Raven RV02 Chassis

Today we have the opportunity to get hands on with at an exciting new PC Chassis from Silverstone. The Raven 02 is the second case release that makes use of their unique 90 degree motherboard mounting layout. This case is designed for optimal system component cooling and packs 3 x 180mm intake fans as well as 1 x 120mm exhaust fan. Why only 1 exhaust fan you ask? It’s quite simple, the design of the Raven 02 has what would be thought of as the typical real panel on the top of their chassis, thus allowing everything including video cards and PSU to vent out the top. The 3 beautiful and very quiet dual speed intake fans are mounted along the entire bottom of the case pushing air upward towards the top exhaust area. Let’s move on and have a look at this monster.

Packaging and contents:

The Raven 02 arrived in a large black corrugated cardboard box that contains product information and a list of product features. The 2 images below show the front and rear view of the packaging.

After removing the outer packaging we found the Raven 02 protected top and bottom by moulded Styrofoam to prevent any movement of the case during shipping. There was also white cotton wrapping that covered the case to help prevent scratches of any type. After removing the wrap and opening the chassis we found a small white cardboard box that contained all the accessories required to suit your particular build. The image below right shows the accessories and the manual that were included.
