NZXT Sentry LX

Today we will be taking a look at the NZXT Sentry LX fan controller. The Sentry LX allows the user to control up to five fans using this aluminum housed 2 drive bay controller. Also included are 5 monitored temperature probes, a large LCD display, and flexible modes of operation utilizing manual and automatic settings. Let’s take a look at the specifications first and then the Sentry LX itself.
  • Large dual 5.25" LCD screen
  • NZXT designed intuitive control, set and change fan speeds and settings on the fly
  • Auto/Manual modes
  • Temperature alarm
  • Aluminum finish
  • NZXT Designed graphical interface, easy to read and understand
  • Saved Settings, calendar and fan settings are stored even during system off so settings don't need to be redone.
  • Supports up to 4Watt per channel

Packaging

The Sentry LX comes packaged in a cardboard box which includes product images and specifications on the top and bottom. The sides and ends are simply black with NZXT and the product name as shown below.

Within the box we find the Sentry LX and its included accessories protected in Styrofoam packaging. A heavy plastic bag contains the Sentry LX as well as its additional accessories. In addition to the fan controller itself we find the User’s manual and a smaller plastic bag.

Opening the smaller bag we find the lithium backup battery, a replacement temperature probe, mounting screws and tape to fasten the temperature probes in place.
