NZXT Zero2 Review

Expansion and VideoCard Installation

The Zero2 case uses the same screw fastened method as the other 2 NZXT cases we have reviewed we have all done this before and it is very straightforward. We did find removing and replacing the screws a bit awkward on this case though as shown below.

Issues with Larger Video Cards

We installed our Diamond Viper HD4870 which has an overall length of 9.5 inches without the PCI-E power connectors installed and it was a tight fit. In fact we had to plug in the PCI-E power connectors before seating the card which was a bit awkward.

At this time we contacted our good friend Stuart Davidson”Veridian3” over on Driverheaven.net as he just finished reviewing the new GeForce GTX295 cards from Zotac and BFG. Stu indicated that the overall length of the GTX295 is 10.5 inches and since the PCI-E power connectors are on the top of the card they add no additional length. Let’s see how this effects installation in the Zero2 case!

Zero2 Fully Loaded

As part of the testing we installed the 4 x 120mm side intake fans as well as the 80mm top exhaust fan as shown below. On where the controller for the Domino A.L.C. went that is the subject of our next review on TNHW. Let’s finish this up and get onto the testing!
